               CHAPTER-1-SG-Y-1-S-2-Fall

It was early fall in the town of Evermore Falls in Maine and the year of 1635 was getting closer to coming to an end. They were still dressed like it was summer though they were dressing a little warmer as it started to become more like fall weather. The changes to the weather as the season progressed meant that the residents had to make some changes to their outfits over the course of fall.
Eli and Ami Jankowsky woke up on fall morning to the end of a full moon night and started getting ready for the coming day. They had started to dress a little warmer after seeing that summer was ending and fall was starting. They also started getting ready to be able to plant indoors. The sleeping bags got replaced with a proper bed so they could sleep at night without taking so much floor up.It was getting colder most nights and sleeping on the floor in sleeping bags wasn't very comfortable.
It was a few days later and the Jankowskys were having to tend to the indoor plants they'd planted to grow some produce to supply them with food. They were also updating their outfits over the next few days as the season progressed. It was mid-fall and the weather was getting colder overnight. They were harvesting from their own plants and getting the food supplies stocked up in their fridge to make sure the food would last the winter without them running out.
Eli and Ami Jankowsky had noticed a house going up when they got up and looked outside to see what was going on.They saw a few walls up and obviously unfinished with not windows or siding and there was construction going on.The work crew would have to finish building before they could put a roof on and add floors to the house. They would hang siding before adding the doors and putting up windows on the house. It would finally start getting furnishings put in for the new family.
The house was still being worked on in Evermore Falls and they were trying to get it built before a new family arrived and ended up with nowhere to go after arriving. It was beginning to get colder out as it got closer to winter. The new arrivals were announced and it was reported that they were due to arrive in the later part of fall. It meant that they'd need a house ready to move into since it would be too cold to camp out in sleeping bags like they did in the summer if they arrived.
The Jankowskys were noticing the progress of the new house as they passed it on their way to work each day over the days it was being built. It was clear to them that there was to be a new family arriving sometime in the near future and they'd have new neighbors very soon.It was getting colder out overnight and even remaining cold enough for frost to stay all day some days with it being mid-fall.It was getting dark out earlier since winter was coming soon and it might snow.
Tanner Ivanovitch was living in Russia with her husband Tracy until the summer of 1634 when the grinding poverty forced them to leave unless they wanted to slowly starve to death working like slaves on somebody else's farm as laborers or to become street beggars. It was time for them to leave for London in hopes of finding something better for themselves. There's been people starving to death because they couldn't afford enough food to eat and there wasn't much even if you could afford it.
Their stay in London from 1634 until late in the summer of 1635 had been very difficult with them not being able to find much work and not earning much. They got offered free passage to a new colonial settlement in Maine later in the summer of 1635 and accepted it because it meant they could head to a new land and get to make a new start in their lives. It also meant they could own their home instead of renting or being homeless and begging on the streets. It also meant there'd be a better future for any kids.
Tanner and Tracy had left on a ship sailing to Evermore Falls,Maine and it wouldn't arrive there until fairly late in the season. The ship got into trouble as it was making it's Atlantic crossing and was forced to put some of the passengers off in Evermore.Tanner and Tracy Ivanovitch volunteered to get off and settle down in Evermore since it was smaller and less established which meant a better chance at owning a larger property instead of a tiny lot with a tiny home.
Tanner and Tracy arrived in the evening and after getting a good night's sleep in their new temporary home they decided to start with studying skills on theirown computers.Their house was simple and had the basic furnishings needed for a newly arrived family.Their first skills to learn were logic and gardening because they would need gardening later to start farming when they moved out of the starter home they took because they'd arrived too late in the year to take a larger lot.
It was a few days after the new neighbors arrived that the Jankowskys ended up deciding to go through their household belongings and see what they already owned and find out if anything needed to be sold or moved. They'd been making sure they got to work every day and it was getting late in the fall season by then.Everybody in town was about to start getting into outifts meant for winter becasue it was going to be winter very soon and fall was almost over with only a few days left.
The Ivanovitch family had gone back to studying on their computers again and decided to buy themselves some new iPads for quick and easy studying of their skills. They'd also gone to the Woodlands Market to apply for part time jobs to help with their income. They had earned enough that they decided to just get the cheapest of the iPads for their use instead of buying the expensive ones. They just didn't have the money for anything else besides the cheapest ones without waiting to save up more.
It was the last day of fall and the Jankowskys also had to get ready for winter since it was getting so cold that frost formed overnight and didn't thaw out in the day for the last few days.It was time to start dressing in their winter clothing since it was the last day of fall and the ice cream truck was also leaving for the season. It wasn't going to stick around in the winter when nobody would want to eat ice cream since they'd be more interested in eating hot soup or having hot chocolate.
Fall had gone by very quickly in Evermore Falls,Maine and everybody had been making their preparations for winter thoughout the season though the new arrivals didn't have much time to get ready for winter because they'd arrived so late in the fall season and had to get settled in after arriving so late that year. They were also having to worry about how they'd make it through the coming winter knowing it would be very cold an hard since it was in a cold climate and Maine would likely have long and cold winters.
