               CHAPTER-1-SG-Y-1-S-3-1635

The residents of Evermore Falls were already preared for the winter of 1635 when it arrived. They'd had a big scramble to get themselves ready for winter through the fall season and the new family had to get settled into a starter home for a while because it was too close to winter when they arrived. They planned on moving to the bigger lot at a later date when they had been living in town for a while and earlier in the year with time to get a house built.
Winter started out just being cold and clear for the first few days and travel was still fairly easy at that time. The real struggles would come when they started getting the winter storms and it started snowing hard.It was reported that the winters in the region could be very hard and blizzards could get very bad at times. They all hope they'd gotten enough stocked up to last the winter without running out of supplies before growing season had a chance to get started again in the spring.
It had remained clear and sunny for the first few days and began to cloud over in the evening on the third day.It had begun to cloud over gradually over the afternoon and it was very dull and cloudy by the evening. The temperature had fallen sharply and the wind was picking up at that time.It was foggy overnight and had begun to snow lightly at 5AM as everybody was getting up for the day.The wind got stronger and the light snowfall turned into a violent blizzard.
The Jankowskys ended up finding themselves wanting to enjoy the snow since it was the first snow of the winter and a change from cold wet weather with new things to do.They were able to just have fun in the snow and would start to worry about supplies running out later in the season. They were starting to make sure leftovers got eaten and were careful to not throw food out if they could still eat it without getting sick from it though anything burnt got tossed out.
The Ivanovitch family was busy writing on their computers and playing chess the next day while it had stopped snowing for a while that day.It was very cold and anything coming down was likely to fall as snow. The local families all had to make sure they were getting to work on time every day. They were all lucky to have a workplace near where they all lived in the Woodlands area and to be able to get there so easily. They woulsn't want to have it out near their city hall and have a long commute.
The residents of Evermore Falls had been through more storms and more blizzards with a few white hurricanes where they got snow falling heavily with winds getting up to 100mph like in a normal hurricane though it came with snow instead of rain.It had been about seven days and the winter was nearing the end though the residents were starting to get low on food supplies and leftovers were going bad in their fridges. They were eating the food anyways and about to start eating the preserved food if the weather didn't warm up for spring very soon.
The residents of Evermore Falls were grateful to have moade it through another five days though they had blizzards for those five days. They'd been managing to get to work every day though they'd had to struggle in the deep snowdrifts left behind by the endless blizzards. It seemed like one blizzard started just as the old one was ending so they couldn't tell if the old one ended and a new one had started. It was late winter and they were still getting snow which made it harder to get supplies delivered.
Tanner and Tracy Ivanovitch were tending to their chores as usual in late winter as the season was coming to an end. There was still another day of winter left after that one was done.It was still snowing out though it was now a light snowfall and it was tapering off. They'd had a look around their small house and decided to start additions when the snow had all melted for the spring.Nobody wanted to keep their houses so tiny after that winter because they wanted to have room for starting families.
They both ended up going to work later and had gotten off work at 6PM and ended up getting home. They stopped to eat some dinner though the leftovers they were eating had started going bad in their fridge and more food was going to spoil soon. They both ended up having to get settled down for the night and the snow ended up turning into rain overnight. It was clear that the snow would begin to melt soon.It had also gotten very mild overnight since winter was almost over.
It was the final morning of winter and the next day would also be the start of the year of 1636.The Jankowskys woke up to the ground still covered in snow though it was very wet and slushy with the rain falling that morning. The snow was gone by 7AM and the letter carrier had to walk though big puddles to deliver the mail that day. They arrived wearing rain boots instead of shoes with the ground all muddy. It had been covered in snow all winter and that snow melted.
Winter was ending for Evermore Falls and the residents were all looking foreward to spring with warmer weather and the start of the new growing season. It would soon be time to start expanding their houses and planting their produce to grow it again. They would also have to be careful with their leftovers and not let anything go to waste even if it was going bad because they could easily run right out of food and begin to starve.
